Locating your safe in the garage may be convenient, but unless it is bolted to the floor, it can be an easy target for burglars. It is not uncommon for theives with a truck to back into a garage and load up a safe in broad daylight. Even with the safe anchored down, it is a good idea to cover it in some way to hide it from view.
